AUT 120 - Introduction to Automotive Machine Shop

Credits: 3

Introduces automotive machining operations emphasizing shop safety and the safe use of machine shop tools. Surveys basic machining operations and specialized auto machining techniques necessary for reconditioning engine and chassis components. Requires basic set of machinist’s hand tools. Prerequisite or co- requisite for all other machinist courses.

Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours.
Total 5 hours per week.
Prerequisites: A placement of ENF 2  or above and MTT 0 - Module 1 Operations With Positive Fractions -MTT 0 - Module 3 Algebra Basics .
